Our AP with WE cooking class is getting closer and closer, and I am SO excited to see how it will turn out! We finally secured a chef, which makes me feel so good. The guy we were trying before just wasn’t getting back to us, which was frustrating because everyone was stressed about not knowing who the chef was because many of the group’s needed the chef’s advice, but it’s hard to get advice if you don’t have a chef. What was most frustrating for me was that the guy we were using before just didn’t seem overly motivated to help us out and get back to us quickly. That made it hard for me because I am relly passionate about this stuff, and he just wasn’t taking the initiative to get back to us in a timely manner. So we decided to try someone else that had been recommended to us. When I called him, he was sounded very enthusiastic about helping us which made my day, because it was so refreshing to finally have someone outside of class and our other sources(such as Plateau Outreach Ministries Britt Nelson) say that they were excited and willing to help. He is also and Enumclaw High School Grad which makes it even more exciting for us and him. We also put out an article in our local newspaper the other day, The Courier-Herald, which made this project become real to me. Like we are actually doing this, and I am lucky enough to get to be a part of it and I am so excited to see the difference that we are going to make. Don’t forget, that if you want to donate any food, cooking utensils, or entertainment(coloring books, board games, etc, for the kids), go to the contact section and shoot me an e-mail! We are grateful for all of the donations we can get! And don’t forget to spread the word that the class is on April 11th, 2017, in the Enumclaw Middle School Culinary Room at 6 o’clock.
